The First Test of 2023: Hickory Motor Speedway

The first laps in the new car are complete! Fighting a little bit of bad weather, we were really lucky to get in some seat time at Hickory Motor Speedway Thursday, March 2nd.

In between clouds of rain and drizzle, the track dried just enough to give the new car a good shake down. I’m happy to report that everything felt really good and we are already running a decent pace. A few spring packers falling out in our first run gave us a brief pause before we were really able to get on with the test, but it all worked out just fine (after finding the packers on the track that is)!

We were also able to get some initial track content while we were out there so we will be able to share more photos and videos here on the website and on social media.

Next up is race night on Saturday! It’s the season opening blowout at Hickory so we are expecting a packed house and over 80 competing cars between all the classes. Be sure to come out if you can make it; grandstands open at 4p.m. and racing gets started at 6p.m. You can also visit the track’s website for more information here.

See you at the track!
